80s Rewind

Overview: 80s REWIND is a music player app that is centered around the 1980’s era. The ask was to design the UI for the mobile app that meets a desire of the user to rediscover the music they grew up with. The project includes the implementation of the UI design as well as the design of the visual image of the brand.

Context: The music of the eighties is still wildly popular today. The era saw the rise of Punk, New Wave, Electronic, Soft Rock, and the more middle of the road out and out Pop music. Each of these, plus other musical styles that emerged from the late 70s into the 80s made an essential contribution to making the decade truly memorable. A big influence became the emerging MTV music videos that added visuals to the sound.

Key Functionalities: With the 80s REWIND app users can easily create a profile, discover new artists, explore the genres of the decade, and create a custom playlist to stream their favorite music and share with their friends.
